Sobeida is the country director for iDE Honduras. She previously served as country manager and acting country director, leading and strengthening the team during challenges included hurricanes and the pandemic. She has more than 18 years experience in project management and administration, leading programs supported by a variety of international donors. She has worked with the SNV -- Netherlands Development Organization -- as as general supporting officer for projects, and as general manager with the European Union’s food security program. At iDE, Sobeida helps plan project implementation, tracking and monitoring, proposal writing, collaboration in office processes, and helps promote our work among potential partners and donors. She holds a master’s degree in project management. Sobeida enjoys being in nature, reading current affairs, interior design, and sports.
