Olani joined iDE in 2008 first as Program Officer, then steadily increasing his responsibility and position, becoming a Program Manager in 2009, a Program Director in 2011, the Deputy Country Director in 2018, and finally was named the Ethiopia Country Director in April 2020. Olani has a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), in Bangalore, India. He also has Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics from Haramaya University of Agriculture (Ethiopia). Before joining iDE, he had worked with different local and international organizations in various capacities for over 13 years.
