Mel serves as iDE’s controller, bringing decades of experience in non-profit accounting and financial management to the role. Mel concentrates on iDE Global consolidated financials and other global finance issues, as well as overseeing the day-to-day accounting for the UK and US business units. iDE was in fact her first employer after she graduated college. She was iDE’s accountant and a financial controller for five years before taking a controller role at Regis University where she oversaw a $133 million annual budget, consolidating financial reports of various subsidiaries and managing treasury responsibilities. She then moved to a controller position with the Adams County Housing Authority. She rejoined iDE in 2017 and has never looked back. Mel earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting at the University of Denver and is a certified public accountant. Along with her sense of humor, Mel is well-liked for her knack for explaining financial details to non-financially minded people.
