Martha is responsible for iDE’s WASH programs in Ethiopia, including promotion and dissemination of WASH products and services, establishing supply chains for iDE’s WASH technologies, and leading country business development and partnership efforts. She supervises the work of junior staff like WASH officers and sanitation marketing officers and serves as the liaison between donors and partners including the Ethiopian government for project design and implementations. Martha joined iDE in March 2020 after ten years of experience in the WASH sector as a water quality analyst, WASH trainer, and water expertise training center coordinator for the Ethiopian Kale Heywet Church, a local faith based NGO. She holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Lead Star University in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and a Bachelor degree in Applied Chemistry from Addis Ababa University.
