Since 2021, Lorenzo has been at the forefront of developing iDE's regenerative agriculture agenda, spearheading research, training programs, and advocating for sustainable agricultural practices. He and his team believe that Mozambique can be an African leader in the sector. Previously Lorenzo has worked for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the German Corporation for International Cooperation with projects spanning from land tenure rights, eco-tourism, natural resource management, and agro-ecology. Lorenzo has worked to enhance entrepreneurship and democracy innovation. As a co-founder of the Innovation for Policy Foundation (i4Policy), he has been instrumental in shaping entrepreneurship policy and entrepreneurial ecosystems across Africa. He holds a B.Sc in environmental sciences and a master's degree in environmental governance (Utrecht University) and has worked in seven countries across four continents.
