Khong Sophoan has been the manager and director of the Cambodia Agribusiness Development Facility (CADF) program of iDE Cambodia for almost 14 years (since 2010), implementing agricultural projects primarily in horticulture and pig value chain strengthening.
Sophoan holds a MSc in aquaculture from the Gent University, Belgium, and a BSc in Fisheries from the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Cambodia. He has extensive experience in development projects related to agriculture, aquaculture, aquatic resource management, pig and horticulture value chains, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and development-oriented research. He undertook numerous short-term consulting assignments focused on training, value chain assessment, project design, and evaluation for several projects and NGOs.
On weekends, Sophoan enjoys cooking, planting trees, and cycling with his family members.
