Juvêncio has more than 10 years of experience working for INGOs, managing projects focused on agribusiness, nutrition, food security, and livelihoods. At iDE, he is the project manager for the Promoting Market Adaptability and Resilient Ecosystems (ProMare) project. The US$5.5 million agricultural project, funded by Norway, is designed to help communities in Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces recover from recent shocks, as well as build long term resilience to ongoing instability. Before joining iDE, Juvêncio worked as a country program advisor at World Renew Mozambique in Niassa Province. He began his career working in a food security and livelihood project in Cabo Delgado for ARO Mozambique. He then worked for Fairtrade International in Mozambique, Angola, Sao Tome Island, Swaziland and South Africa. Juvêncio has extensive experience in leading teams, managing grants, implementing development programs, engaging with governments and strengthening strategic relations with multiple stakeholders. He holds a bachelor’s degree in development from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
