Over the past 15 years, Elise’s career has worked across various levels of global health, from high level advocacy to direct implementation. Her focus lies at the intersection of health equity, gender, and climate, where she strives to influence programs and policies. Elise excels at building relationships and facilitating workshops, whether in domestic or international settings.
Elise joined iDE's global WASH team in 2019 and was promoted to global WASH director in 2024. She has played a pivotal role across iDE’s global portfolio, collaborating closely with colleagues to strengthen programming, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership. Recently, Elise has been leading iDE’s efforts in menstrual health. Prior to iDE, Elise has worked for Partners In Health, JVA Consulting, the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), and the Aspen Institute. She has lived in Denver, Washington DC, Tanzania, Malawi, and Zambia, and has conducted work in Bangladesh, Uganda, Ghana, Ethiopia, Cambodia.
Elise holds a BA in political science from University of Wisconsin Madison and a MA in international development and global health affairs from the Korbel School of International Studies, where she was a Sie Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and is powered by sunshine and coffee.
