Caitlin has built a career in the international development sector creating strategic philanthropic, foundation, and corporate partnerships during the past 15 years, moving the needle on poverty alleviation through systems change investments. Her work has taken her to over 14 countries across Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia, where she’s cultivated a deep understanding in localized, sustainable impact.
Caitlin has been with iDE for five years, first as the senior director of Fund Development, establishing initiatives such as major gifts, corporate partnerships, and a legacy society that supports the diversification of iDE’s resources. Now, as the vice president of Fund Development, she leads a larger team that spans the globe and is responsible for cultivating bi-lateral/multilateral partnerships, and philanthropic donations, resourcing iDE’s new, 10-year strategic plan.
Caitlin joined iDE in 2019 after working for Water For People for 10 years, most recently as director of principal gifts and helping fund the organization’s annual $25 million budget. While Caitlin’s career started in marketing, working for a mid-sized advertising agency, she found that the nonprofit sector provided a pathway to developing a career of lasting impact and generational change. Caitlin is committed to helping transform the lives of the most vulnerable and marginalized, sharing her experience during speaking engagements.
Caitlin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Vanderbilt in Tennessee and holds a bachelor of arts degree with a major in communication studies. When she’s not in the office, Caitlin is likely at home or in the mountains with her husband, two kids, and the family’s much loved husky mix.
