In 2024, Bonnie joined iDE as the Director of Evidence and Learning, bringing two decades of experience in social change initiatives across three continents. With more than 15 years in the monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL) field, Bonnie specializes in supporting teams to optimize outcomes and programming through continuous improvement and learning. Today Bonnie leads iDE’s global learning and adaptive management initiatives, supports country-level MERL strategies and project-level MERL plans, and oversees ethical MERL practices. In addition, Bonnie leads iDE's management of the Global Theory of Change and on developing processes to turn our data into evidence.
Prior to joining iDE, Bonnie held several roles across government, philanthropy, and the NGO sector to support mission-driven organizations to create ethical and participant-centered measurement practices that use data and evidence to enhance programs, elevate community voice, and promote equity. Early in her career, Bonnie proudly supported rural communities of Paraguay, South America, as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer, where she focused on rural, economic, and municipal development. Bonnie earned a master's degree in global policy from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, specializing in international development and monitoring and evaluation. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and exploring this incredible planet with her husband and their daughter.
