Anwar has more than 25 years of experience in development financial management. He has expertise in budget, financial, procurement, and sub-recipients management with a focus on accountability, compliance, and interpretation. He regularly utilizes innovative technology to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Anwar has a strong track record in building organizational culture, working closely with financial institutions, NGO partners, and a wide variety of donors. At iDE he is responsible for technical accounting and overall compliance with US grant and contract accounting. This includes preparation of federal financial reporting, fund requests, submission of indirect cost rates, and developing strong controls for sub-grant and sub-contract selection and oversight, including support to global finance and operations team members. Anwar also provides oversight over centralized accounting procedures to ensure consistency across the organization. Anwar is currently supporting the financial needs in Mozambique and Madagascar. Anwar is an avid soccer fan, follows the UK Premier League and supports Liverpool.
